Well finally some good news about our Real Estate market. I was talking with a client yesterday about how every real estate market is local, it is very hard to predict what will happen with Lakes Region Real Estate by comparing it to the California market. We simply did not have prices jump as fast as other parts of the Country, we had a steady more healthy growth.

Group seeking return of commuter trains
LACONIA — With soaring fuel prices and increasingly congested but unmaintained highways, the call of “all aboard” may one day again be heard throughout New Hampshire, including Franklin, Laconia, Meredith and Plymouth.

Golf Course at Gunstock???
Recently, the Gunstock Commission, a board directors that oversees the operation of Gunstock Mountain Resort for Belknap County, presented county commissioners with ideas for partnering with private investors — in a long-term lease model — to enhance the recreation area that has existed on the slopes of Belknap Mountain Range since the 1930s.

The first order of business for New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s new executive vice president and general manager Jerry Gappens is to calm the fear here that New England’s largest sports facility will lose one of its two NASCAR Nextel Cup races.

New Hampshire Out Performing other NE States
New Hampshire: The state is expected to outperform all other New England states with an average annual gross product growth rate of 3 percent through 2011. New Hampshire also is expected to lead the region in employment growth, with a 1.7 percent annual rate. But real estate values are expected to be pressured well into next year by rising numbers of people paying mortgages late and facing foreclosure.
